Help Me Tell My Story gives opportunities for caregivers, teachers and Elders to provide information about the child's language experiences.Д¬aregivers and teachers receive results and information so that learning activities can take place at home and in the classroom to help promote the ongoing development of oral language in children.

This is done to ensure that students are fully engaged with the assessment in order to provide the best possible data. Students, along with a teacher, use the turtle puppet AskГ® to interact with an iPad to complete the assessment. There are four digital storybooks that can be read in: Students are introduced to AskГ® the puppet who becomes a regular member of the classroom, and children read stories about AskГ® and his friends. Help Me Tell My Story is available to every Prekindergarten and Kindergarten child. Help Me Tell My Story is used to promote and measure language learning for Prekindergarten and Kindergarten students. Googleв„ў Translate is a free online language translation service that can translate text and web pages into different languages. Where an official translation is not available, Googleв„ў Translate can be used. I've attached the direct link to the website where you can check the app out! Linkage and integration is evident between curriculum subjects when the pupils are using My Story Book and it would also be a great tool to use when completing a project as a class or in groups. If a teacher was to set up this programme in his/her classroom it would be really beneficial. linguistic, spatial, bodily kinaesthetic, personal, interpersonal, intrapersonal and musical. This app appeals to what Gardener (1983) referred to as Multiple Intelligences and how within a class there are many different types of learners, e.g.

Oral language is also focused on through the use of My Story Book app as they can then read to the class or an older child could read their book to a younger child thus exposing both pupils to the English language in a more modern, fun and nonetheless beneficial. I think it would be a great tool to use in or outside the classroom as it would enable pupils to put into practice a type of narrative writing which they are learning about in class. It is also possible for the pupils to draw their own characters also and this makes the app very personal and relatable to the pupils life either in or outside of the school environment. There are numerous features which allow pupils to customise their own book as they can decide on the theme, illustrations, font style and size, images, backgrounds and characters. This website allows pupils to create their own stories from real life experiences or imaginative ones.
